Texas Trip

I have the cutest nieces in the entire world! I went to Texas for 11 days to visit my Sister, Brother in-law, Elaina and Erin. I had SO much fun! It was a week and a half full of tea parties, blowing bubbles, going to the park, drawing with sidewalk chalk, watching Thomas the train, going to music makers, playing with playdough, singing songs, making cookies, ect ect. I loved it. It was so great to wake up every morning to Elaina saying, "Good morning Heather! I'm so happy to see you!" And so great to have Erin give me the biggest smile I've ever seen a little girl smile every time I walk into the room. Usually I see Allison and Elaina when they come to visit Calgary, but it was really neat to see Allison, in her own home, and being apart of 'her world'. The girls are coming to Calgary in less than a month and I can hardly wait to see them again! I miss them so much already!

Crazy Cat Lady

Ok everyone, let me start off by telling you that I am already aware that I am a crazy cat lady. Just a few examples: 1) I missed my kitty so much one day at work that I drove home, picked her up, and brought her to work just so I could see her. I work at a doctor's office and didn't want to get caught, so I stashed her in an empty room. I would find reasons to go to the back of the office just to make sure she was ok. 2) I asked my mom if she would carry a picture in her wallet of my kitty because I feel that it is unfair that she has photo's of my sister's kids in her wallet, but not a single picture of my kitty. 3) If my kitty is tired and squinting her eyes because it is too bright for her I will turn off the lights and do whatever I need to do in the dark just to satisfy her. 4) I can talk for hours about my kitty and wonder why people don't want to hear more.

Now that you understand how much I love her, you're probably all dying to know more about her. Well her name is Tia, I got her when she was 3 month old, and I've now had her for 5 months. She's white and grey and really little. I've never been a cat lover, in fact I've always been a cat hater, but somehow she's become my best friend... (remember, I've already admitted to being a crazy cat lady)
